Dance club plans open house, unveils camp

Dance Hawaii Ballroom Dance Club will host an open house and art show presenting all the art projects the camp kids have worked on this summer, as well as presenting the new after 6 p.m. kid care camp program for children needing care in the evening.

The program consists of songs, dance, arts, crafts, tents, toys, games, gymnastics, snacks and early evening field trip in a gentle and private setting.

The art show and open house will be at Dance Ballroom Dance Club located next to Kona Brew Pub in the Old Industrial Area. The open house is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday with refreshments and entertainment. The event is free and the public is welcome.

SBA loan program will be here Aug. 4

The U.S. Small Business Administration Community Express Loan event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4 at Big Island Workplace Connection-Workforce Development Division, 74-5565 Luhia St., No. C-4, Kailua-Kona.

A top SBA Community Express lender, SBA specialist and Hawaii SBDC will meet with businesses one on one to help them find the right financing for the development or growth of a business.

To expedite the loan process, bring a personal identification, general excise tax license, good credit score from each owner of the business and business banking account information.

Vendors sought for November event

Craft and food vendors are invited to participate in the 21st annual Christmas Craft “EG”stravaganza on Nov. 21 and 22 at the Edith Kanakaole Tennis Stadium. Craft applications are available in Hilo at Burgado’s Fine Woods in the Hata Building and in Kona at Tioli Creative Center below Costco.

Chamber honors Keauhou Resort

Keauhou Resort received a Pualu Culture and Heritage Award from the Kona Kohala Chamber of Commerce at its recent annual luncheon and membership meeting.

The chamber has been honoring leaders for the past 29 years in West Hawaii for their dedication and hard work in the community. The Pualu Awards (literally meaning to work together) recognizes recipients for their outstanding commitment to the community.
